Outlaw Triathlon Backs Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity
Train for your next triathlon with pro, Kimberley Morrison, for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Pro triathlete, Kimberley Morrison, is encouraging fellow athletes to sign up to the Outlaw Triathlon Series this year and fundraise for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).
The Outlaw Triathlon Series has expanded to six events and has announced that its charity partnerships will now include GOSH Charity. Outlaw’s events support a number of charities as part of the partnership with tri for life, a charity which was set up to raise money through the sport of triathlon. Tri for life is also a longstanding supporter of GOSH Charity.
GOSH Charity is offering participants unique training support from Kimberley Morrison and kit incentives as well as providing on-the-day support to the Outlaw events. Athletes can choose to enter via the GOSH Charity website or use a general entry place and apply for a fundraising pack – any amount raised will help make a difference to seriously ill children from across the UK cared for at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Outlaw Triathlon participants who fundraise for GOSH Charity could help fund research into pioneering new treatments for children, provide the most up to date medical equipment, fund support services for children and their families, and support the essential rebuilding and refurbishment of GOSH.
Katie Gray, Head of Mass Participation at GOSH Charity said: “Every cyclist, runner and swimmer who raises money for GOSH Charity will make a huge difference to children and families at the hospital, as well as the staff that care for them.”
Morrison, a former winner and course record breaker at Outlaw Half Holkham, was treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital as a three-year-old and is supporting GOSH Charity participants. She said: “I am delighted to be on board with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity to support fundraising efforts and triathletes on their Outlaw journey.”
She added: “I have loved my experiences at Outlaw and the family friendly approach to events. I am so looking forward to putting my energy into supporting Team GOSH athletes – enjoy the ride!”
