tri for life was set up in 2007 as a registered charity with one simple aim – use the sport of triathlon to raise money for some fantastic causes. Since the first event at Dorney Lake, Eton with just 200 participants, through to hosting thousands more at Woburn Abbey, it has grown to be one of the UK’s largest triathlons. Over one million pounds has been raised for many charities including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Teenage Cancer Trust, Whizz Kidz, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Rays of Sunshine. The Woburn Abbey triathlon has now become part of the Outlaw Series and tri for life is delighted to become the headline charity partner across all Outlaw events allowing it to continue to support many more charities over the years to come.
In 2022 tri for life will be supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK & Cancer Research UK. Find out more about these charities and sign up for a charity place below:
Almost one million people in the UK are living with a form of dementia. This number is rapidly increasing and without effective treatments, one in three people born today will die with dementia. There is currently no cure, but research can change this. Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure.
Join #TeamARUK and help fund pioneering research to change the lives of those living with dementia. Together we can, and we will, make breakthroughs possible.
