The finale of the Outlaw season, Outlaw Half Thoresby Weekend (formerly Outlaw X) has something for everyone with Sprint, Middle Distance and Kids events. It’s all set against the back drop of the north Nottinghamshire countryside and the magical grounds of Thoresby Park. Onsite camping is available, so it’s a great way to close the summer season with friends and family.
Saturday will host the Outlaw Sprint Thoresby, a short course event which begins in the private lake and passes through Clumber Park before returning to Thoresby and finishing in front of the Hall. Younger athletes can take part in the Future Outlaw running events.
On Sunday, we have Outlaw Half Thoresby, a middle-distance triathlon that is ideal for both novice and experienced triathletes. 2024 also introduces a NEW Aquabike event that will take place along with Outlaw Half Thoresby. This is a fantastic addition to the Outlaw series for those who prefer a run-free format. Both our triathlons offer a 2 or 3 person relay option, so you can take part with friends or family, each person doing a different leg and coming together to cross the finishing line.
We build a bespoke campsite on the venue, a short walk from the Event Village. You can keep your pitch on Saturday or Sunday until after your race has finished. Please be aware that access may restricted while events are in progress.
Electric and non-electric pitches are available. The site is equipped with showers, washing up facilities and toilets. Children under 5 go free. Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead due to the free ranging deer and livestock in the estate. Additional terms and conditions apply.
Alternatively, there is a range of accommodation available in the local area.
The venue has parking charges. You can pre purchase a two-day pass or a one-day pass in advance with your race entry (please remember if you are a Sunday race participant, you will need to register and rack on Saturday). The option to purchase on the day will be available but higher charges will apply. You do not need to purchase parking if you are booked onto the Event campsite (one vehicle per pitch).
Our lively event village creates a great atmosphere. Please note that spectators are unable to watch the swim due to space restrictions at the start but you can get close to them as they run to the first transition and head out on the bike. The run course is designed so that you can see them often and cheer them along the finishing line, too. Sunday athletes will have a live tracker so family and friends can track their progress.
The Thoresby Estate has plenty of outdoor space to enjoy as well as the Courtyard Café. The Event Village will also have options for eating and a range of exhibitors. Dogs on a lead are welcome on site.
We are always looking for people to join our Volunteer team, the people who make everything possible and bring the Outlaw atmosphere to life. You can find out more here.
