Key FAQs for this event are below, see the Event Overview for details of parking and locations. Our guide to Racing with Outlaw has further information to help you prepare for your event

Paying in Instalments

Our booking partner Let’s Do This provide an option to pay in instalments so that you can spread the cost of your booking (you can see their terms and conditions here).  Please note that until your fee is paid in full, you will not be allowed to participate and you will not be able to access the relevant withdrawal options e.g. refunds, transfers or deferrals.

Registration

Race pack collection and racking will be on Saturday. Race packs will not be posted and there is no option to rack on Sunday. Photo ID will be required for all Race Pack Collection as well as presentation of a valid BTF licence if you did not purchase a day licence at entry.

Bikes must be stickered prior to racking and security wristbands must be worn at all times for access to Transition – including collecting your bike post race.

Start

The start format will be time trial with swimmers being sent off the pontoons at short intervals. Start times are allocated based on submitted swim time. Individuals will receive their personal start time prior to the event. Wetsuits will be mandatory for the swim.

Cut Offs

We want to support everyone to have a great race. However, race cut offs exist so that we can manage athlete safety, meet our commitments to the venue, the Highways Agency and our team of volunteers and crew. Always refer to the Final Race Information for the confirmed cut off details, however, our expected cut offs for this event are:

Swim: 1 hour 10 minutes after your wave starts, with a further 10 minutes to reach the bike mount line
Bike: 5 hours 20 minutes after your wave starts
Run: 9 hours after your wave starts
There may be an intermediary cut off on the bike and run routes too.

Feedstations

Bike feed stations will offer water, HIGH5 Energy Drink and HIGH5 Energy Gels, HIGH5 Zero and HIGH5 Energy Gel Aqua (caffeine and caffeine free). Run feed stations will also offer flat cola and bananas. All feedstations have toilets and litter drops.

Withdrawals

If you change your race plans, we offer a range of options for this race. We try to be flexible and supportive, however, event costs mean that we cannot offer these options indefinitely. We believe in being transparent – an outline of the options available is below but please see the Event Terms and Conditions for full details.

Refund Protection is also offered when you enter through our booking partner, Let’s Do This, to protect your purchase if you become unable to race.  Refund Protection is provided by the Protect Group (please review their terms and conditions before you purchase).  If you purchase Refund Protection and need to withdraw, you should apply to them directly in the first instance.  More information about Refund Protection can be found on Let’s Do This.
