Outlaw Series Update 07.04.20 – Outlaw Half Cancellation Policy

We have read and listened to your feedback over the weekend regarding our cancellation policy as a result of the current global health pandemic and have revised our approach, as set out below.

We have decided to remove the £20 deferral fee and open up more races for you to choose from, if you wish to carry your place(s) over to 2021.

 

We hope that these broader options will ensure that you are able to enjoy a race with us later this year or in 2021:

  • Option 1 – transfer your place to Outlaw X on 27 September 2020 (free of charge) *
  • Option 2 – defer your place to the same 2021 event as your chosen 2020 event (free of charge)
  • Option 3 – claim a partial refund as previously communicated. Relay entrants will receive an additional £30 refund in line with the higher entry fee paid.
  • Option 4 – defer your place to Outlaw Half Holkham, Outlaw Half Bowood or Outlaw X 2021 (free of charge)**

 

* As per our previous update, although it is our intention to stage Outlaw X on 27 September 2020, we cannot guarantee that it will definitely go ahead due to the global health crisis. If the event is cancelled, you will be offered the same cancellation options as everyone else entered into Outlaw X.

** For those athletes entered into Outlaw Half Bowood or Outlaw Half Holkham 2020 transferring to Outlaw Half Nottingham 2021 unfortunately can’t be offered due to the limited number of places available.

 

If you have previously emailed us, but have changed your mind as to your option choice, please email info@osbevents.com by no later than 17:00 on 15 April 2020. The subject line must contain ‘CHANGE’ and ‘OPTION [number]’ and for those selecting Option 4 the [NAME OF THE EVENT] you wish to defer into.

 

If you have not been in touch so far, but want to select Option 1 (exchange to Outlaw X 2020), Option 3 (partial refund) or Option 4 (exchange to a different 2021 event) please email info@osbevents.com by no later than 17:00 on 15 April 2020. The subject line must contain ‘OPTION [number]’ and for those selecting Option 4 the [NAME OF THE EVENT] you wish to defer into.

 

If you have entered multiple events and wish to choose Options 1, 3 or 4 the subject line must contain the words ‘CHANGE’ and ‘MULTIPLE’ in the Subject, with a brief explanation of your choices in the main body of the email.

 

If you wish to select Option 2 (deferral to the same event in 2021) you do not need to email us.

 

If you do not email us your entry will automatically defer to the same event in 2021 (Option 2).

 

We will endeavour to process all Outlaw X 2020 exchange requests and all refund requests by 30 April 2020. If you have requested a transfer to Outlaw X you will receive an entry link from Active. If you do not receive it by 10 May 2020 please firstly check your junk folder and then get in touch with us, please email info@osbevents.com.

We will endeavour to contact all deferring athletes by 30 September 2020 so that you can validate your place free of charge via an Active Entry Link.

 

Refunds

We are sorry that we are not able to provide full refunds. We have incurred significant irrecoverable costs in the organisation of events, noting that Outlaw Half Nottingham should have been just six weeks away. We have been asked about putting our employees onto schemes during this period so to be able to provide full refunds. We are a small team, and this isn’t feasible as it would be detrimental to responding to you, the organisation of the remaining events later this year, 2021 events and events in the future. Not charging deferral fees will impact us, but we will make every endeavour to ensure that the Outlaw Triathlon Series is not affected.

 

TO CONFIRM, if you would like to select Option 1, 3 or 4, you need to let us know via email by 15 April 2020, if you have not already done so. We are not able to collate and act on choices made via social media. We will focus all our attentions on responding as quickly as we can to emails, but please be aware that we are processing entry changes individually for more than 4000 competitors and this will take some time.

 

2021 Event Dates

  • Outlaw Half Nottingham: 16 May
  • Outlaw Half Holkham: 4 July
  • Outlaw Nottingham (The Full): 25 July
  • Outlaw Half Bowood: 12 September (TBC)
  • Outlaw X: 26 September
